나는 개인적으로 한살이라도 젊고, 격투기를 배우고 있는 마크가 이길 것으로 예상 된다.

전형적인 미국문화에서 싸우기 전까지는 서로를 비방하고, 약점을 찾고, 끝없이 도발을 일삼지만,

경기후에는 승패를 인정하고 승자에게 축하를해주며, 패자를 존중해주는 문화가 나는 좋다. 

한국에서는 유교가 문화 깊숙히 박혀 있어 게임전의 도발에 대해서도 끝까지 물고 늘어지는 경우를 종종 보아

눈꼴 사나울때가 한두번이 아니다. 기업간의 경쟁에서도 쉽게 볼 수 있는듯 하다.

한국은 기업 오너 한사람에 따라 왔다갔다 하는 기업 경영이 너무 많다. 

필자가 몸 담았던 중소기업 대부분이 그랬다. 대주주인 오너의 말에 매일 매일 새롭다.

오늘은 이랬다, 내일은 저랬다. 거기에 반하면 어김없이 불똥과 보복이 온다. 

한번은 금요일에 오더를 내려 주말을 그대로 반납하고 주말내내 준비하여 월요일 아침에 발표를 하였더니

무슨 신나라까먹는 소리를 하냐는 반응이 있었다. 계속된 질타에 참다참다 못하여 금요일 오더한 것 아니냐고 대답하였더니 자기가 언제 그랬냐 그런적 없다 너가 똑바로 이해 못하고 기억을 못하는 것 아니냐 너때문에 주말 시간만 까먹었다는 피드백을 들었을때는 당장 모든 걸 집어 던지고 뛰쳐 나오고 싶은 마음이 굴뚝 같았다. 하지만 한 가족의 가장이기에 참을 수 밖에 없는 현실이 너무 슬펐다. 현재는 그 집단에 속해 있지 않지만 가끔 그때를 생각하면 아직도 울화가 치밀어 올라 좀처럼 식지 않는다. 상명하복, 답정너, 내로남불.....한국 중소기업의 현재다. (물론, 아닌 기업이 훨 많다고 믿는다!!!)

 

본론으로 들어와서 누가 이길까?

마크? 엘런? 마크에게 한표 던지고 싶다. ^^

Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg fight will be streamed on X, according to Musk

 

The possible showdown between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg will be streamed on X, formerly known as Twitter, according to Musk.

In a pair of tweets Sunday morning, the platform’s owner said he was “lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight,” adding “all proceeds will go to charity for veterans.”

Musk has not provided more details about the fight.

In June, the two Big Tech billionaires seemingly agreed to participate in a cage fight. The stakes for the potential fight were raised last month when Zuckerberg’s Meta launched a new Twitter competitor called Threads.

Zuckerberg replied to Musk via Threads on Sunday afternoon, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”

He added: “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when (Musk) first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”


Since Musk’s takeover of Twitter in October 2022, policy pivots, technical issues, and the platform’s stance on harassment and hate speech have given many users whiplash. When Threads was released, some saw it as a viable alternative that might unseat its rival, and the app saw enormous initial success. A lawyer representing Twitter even threatened a lawsuit over Threads.

CNN reached out to Twitter and Meta for comment but have not received a response.

Mark Zuckerberg has said he is “not holding his breath” over a proposed cage fight with Elon Musk, as he revealed that he had suggested a date of 26 August for the contest.

The Facebook co-founder posted on the Threads app that he was “ready today” for a bout but that he had not received confirmation from the Tesla chief executive and world’s richest man.

“I’m ready today. I suggested August 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath,” he wrote on Sunday.

Musk added to the confusion by tweeting on Monday that he “may need surgery before the fight can happen” due to problems with his neck and upper back.

Musk had challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight in June, prompting his rival to reply: “Send me location.” Details about whether and when a cage brawl will take place, or whether it was just online jousting between billionaires, have been vague ever since.

Musk prompted a renewed exchange of social media posts over the mooted fight when in the early hours of Sunday he wrote on the rebranded Twitter that the contest would be livestreamed on his platform. Last month Musk announced that Twitter had been rebranded as X.

Musk added in his post that all proceeds from the fight would go to army veterans.

The Musk post prompted replies on Threads – an app nicknamed the “Twitter killer” – from Zuckerberg, including the “not holding my breath” post. A further post took a swing at tech glitches that have hit Twitter since Musk bought the platform for $44bn last year, with Zuckerberg suggesting

:“Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”

However, Zuckerberg’s 26 August date was looking unlikely on Monday – even if both men were serious about the fight – after Musk tweeted that he needed an MRI scan and that the exact date was “still in flux.”

Last year Musk tweeted that a sumo wrestling bout had caused him “eight years of mega back pain” that required two vertebrae to be fused. Zuckerberg is a devotee of mixed martial arts – MMA professionals fight their contests in a cage – and has posted pictures of himself training with MMA professionals.
